I stayed at this hotel for two nights from August 3 to August 5, 2025. First of all, the hotel’s location is excellent—it’s near the square, making it very convenient to reach all the attractions. My room faced the river, offering a beautiful view of the Rio Mondego. This is an established hotel, and although the furniture is somewhat old, but everything is very clean, which didn’t affect my stay at all. The hotel staff are very warm and hospitable. The breakfast is a standard European-style buffet, providing enough nutrition to fuel a day of exploring. Most notably, I was initially concerned about the WiFi strength, but after recent improvements, it’s even better than what I have at home—upload and download speeds both exceed 300 Mbps, which was a pleasant surprise. To sum it up, I found my room to be great value for money, more memorable and impressive than many four or five-star hotels.

Erst wurde mir ein falsches Zimmer gegeben, das ich nicht gebucht habe. Das konnte aber geregelt werden. An sich wäre das Hotel eigentlich in Ordnung, wer aber auf ein gutes wi-fi angewiesen ist, sollte hier nicht herkommen. Ich finde das sollte in der heutigen Zeit selbstverständlich sein, dass man in Hotels eine gute Wi-Fi Verbindung haben, damit man nicht sein eigenes datenvolumen verbrauchen muss. Es gibt in keine der Zimmer einen Kühlschrank. Bei Durchschnittstemperaturen von 35 grad mindestens, auch noch lauwarme Getränke trinken müssen. Na vielen Dank! Altes Hotel schön und gut, aber man sollte vielleicht aus der Steinzeit raus kommen. Was positiv hervorzuheben ist, war das nette Personal.

設施：酒店應該是曾經輝煌過設施有些舊了但是另有一番味道。推開房間陽台門可以欣賞大橋及河畔美景衞生：乾淨整潔環境：地理位置優越在古城繁華地段街口服務：到達酒店時間較早前台幫忙寄存行李。退房時，前台主動介紹去高鐵站的最佳方式。因為第二天早班高鐵去里斯本酒店早餐時間稍晚所以預訂打包早餐。早餐有一個三明治，豆漿、果汁各一盒及一個香蕉。跟之前其它酒店類似情況相比，略顯簡單。如果事先了解早餐時間，不會在預訂酒店時包含早餐。

Charming hotel, that evoques those like e.g. in Budapest . Confortable and stylish reading room, art deco toilets, spacious. Former grandeur. Very decent breakfast leaving some room however for improvement for coffee and croissants. A lick of paint here and there is not a waste of money, and the brownish colour of the carpets could be more "appétissant".

Adorei. O atendimento muito profissional. O prédio é lindo. O meu quarto tinha uma vista espetacular sobre o rio Mondego. Toda a decoração e pormenores do hotel transportam-nos para os anos 20, uma verdadeira viagem no tempo. Os móveis são os originais mas muito bem estimados. O elevador, a sala de estar e de leitura, a porta giratória, o salão de chá onde é servido o pequeno almoço, tudo nos transporta para o passado luxuoso dos anos 20. Quem gosta de coisas antigas e de se sentir transportado no tempo, vai adorar. A temperatura está sempre muito agradável e a cama é confortável. O pequeno almoço tinha uma boa variedade de escolha.

This hotel is very poorly equipped and maintained. They only offer twin beds that are very old. The first night the bed sagged so mad in the middle I felt like I was going to roll of the bed the whole night and it hurt my back. The next day I changed rooms the beds were better but now a room with no air conditioning only a tiny fan. The room was a sweat box. The carpets were ancient and dirty, their is no effort in maintaining this hotel. Stay elsewhere for any sort of comfort.
